Amy Winehouse makes birthday promise: no more rehab
Amy Winehouse has vowed that she definitely won’t return to rehab because she’ll recover better with her family and friends around her.
Amy was spotted partying at the London club Century on Friday night to celebrate her 24th birthday and told the Sunday Mirror: “I didn’t enjoy rehab. I don’t want to go back.”
“I missed my friends and my mum and dad. They are the ones that are there for me. I have been doing better now and that’s because of my friends.”
“I’m drinking tonight, I’m enjoying myself. It is my birthday. But drugs is private. Let’s just say, I feel better than I felt ever before.”
Husband Blake Fielder-Civil organised the birthday celebration as well as finding her an original 1950s jukebox, complete with vintage vinyl singles, as a birthday gift.
A source told the Sun about the present: “Blake really wanted to get something from the Fifties for Amy’s birthday.”
“He has had it lined up for ages and managed to get it delivered in time for the big day.”

Honey child - you trying to sort yourself out is akin to a brain surgeon trying a bit of brain surgery on himself. When you start talking like “having to sort oneself out” it indicates recognition of a problem. And when it is mind altering chemicals as the “problem to sort oneself out of” the last thing anyone can trust is their “own” mind. That’s what HELP is for - to help YOU help YOURSELF without distressing yourself with imaginings. Face it, admit it, youth here is not an asset - take it from more experienced and insightful people - AND give it a REAL go. You may be singing another hit tune on that idea… All the best…
