The 59th Annual Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles last night. Our red carpet fashion commentary will be posted a little later but in the meantime, there are plenty of arrival photos floating around. Egotastic has a “mega post” containing pictures of Desperate Housewives‘ Teri Hatcher & Eva Longoria (pictures of Marcia Cross & Felicity Huffman are available at Just Jared), Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera, Ana Ortiz & Becki Newton, Heroes Hayden Panettiere & Ali Larter (with Milo Ventimiglia & Zachary Quinto on Just Jared), Heidi Klum & husband Seal, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jaime Pressley. Elsewhere, there are photos of Helen Mirren, Mark Wahlberg & partner Rhea Durham, Katherine Heigl and Ellen DeGeneres & Portia De Rossi.
Christina Aguilera was also in attendance and performed during the ceremony. Both gowns were belly-disguising rather than enhancing but really, is anyone fooled? She was snapped looking swell out shopping on Saturday - including ducking into baby/kids section of Kitson.
On Saturday night, the Women’s Guild held their 50th Anniversary Gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and Christina Ricci showed off her new, short hair-do at the event.
And for the Beckhams, it was just a dinner out together at Nobu - but they might as well get dressed up, right? David Beckham went for a V-neck almost preppy-look while Victoria Beckham’s dress seems to have been inspired by snake scales. And mushy peas.

Also in LA, Girls Aloud’s Nadine Coyle - who insists she’s not back together with ex-boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe - was snapped with her arms around … ex-boyfriend Jesse Metcalfe while out house-hunting together over the weekend.
Nadine’s bandmate Cheryl Cole meanwhile wore a rather see-through top to attend the Julien Macdonald show at the Hilton Park Lane as part of London Fashion Week.
Also snapped taking part in this week’s fashionable activities, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Rachel Stevens and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson were amongst those out in Holland Park for the Moet Mirage event.
Back in LA but sticking with fashion, Kate Beckinsale attended Stella McCartney’s 2008 Collection preview event on Saturday.
While Sharon Stone is in Paris for the 60th anniversary of Christian Dior event.
And finally, not caring about that sort of thing, Reese Witherspoon instead chose to spend her weekend at a Pacific Palisades park with her son Deacon.
