Billie PiperBillie Piper has revealed her fiance Laurence Fox didn’t like that she had to film sex scenes for her role in new TV drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

Billie plays a prostitute, Belle Du Jour, in the ITV2 series and explained that on the sex scene days, Laurence was rather miserable at sending her off to work. She told the Radio Times recently: “You’re never going to be going, ‘Woo-hoo, you go and have sex, and have a wonderful time!’”

“You’re never going to do that, whether you’re an actor or a window cleaner.”

She added that for her, it was the shoot in general that was hard on their relationship not just the nude scenes: “The hardest thing is that it’s not just an eight-hour day.”

“It’s your life for however long you’re shooting. I don’t know that you can do it all the time or you’d never see each other and that’s sad.”

Billie left her role in Doctor Who because of the strain it put on her relationship with then-boyfriend Amadu Sowe. She and Laurence met as co-stars in West End play Treats late last year.
