After months of making negative comments about him in the media, Melanie Brown has now changed her tune when discussing ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy.

Melanie is currently challenging Eddie for child support for their five month old daughter Angel and possibly influenced by his countering legal threat, Melanie told Jet magazine recently: “I have nothing bad to say about him - the guy that he was when I was with him. He was nice. Really nice. Since I’ve left, I don’t know that person so I can’t comment on that.”

Melanie, currently rehearsing for the Dancing with the Stars and the forthcoming Spice Girls reunion tour, went on to say she is “very happy” with new husband Stephen Belafonte.

The couple had known each other for seven years before getting together earlier in the year and eloping in June: “We’ve been through a very similar roller coaster with life, friends and experience. You know how someone makes themselves a better person every time you see them? That’s him.”

“I have complete respect for someone that can take the best bits out of the crap bits and make it all blossom.”

She added: “I can’t go a day without giving [him and daughters Phoenix Chi & Angel] lots of kisses. I terrorize them with kisses.”
