George Clooney: I’m a little dinged up after crash but fine
George Clooney and new girlfriend Sarah Larson haven’t let their crash injuries get in the way of their social life.
The couple were spotted dining at La Esquina in New York on Saturday night following the accident on Friday and an onlooker told the New York Daily News: “[George] looked pretty tired, but laughed and talked for a couple hours with his group. He did move a little slower than you would expect, but there were no cuts or visible bruises.”
The bruised pair also attended the city’s premire of George’s new film Michael Clayton last night. A cut was visible on George’s neck and his elbow was bandaged while Sarah, who broke toes in the crash, was on crutches.
George told People magazine: “I’m a little dinged up – lots of Neosporin. I’m definitely not jogging or doing jumping jacks.”
Aside from dinners and premieres, the couple are “just resting. You don’t really want to rub or massage parts that are broken or anything.”
Sarah also suffered facial bruising, including a black eye but: “We are hiding it with makeup. It looks like I socked her a couple times.”
George is currently filming Burn After Reading in the city and he added that as part of his contract, “I’m not suppose to be on a motorcycle. I think I am in trouble now.”
However, angry producers aside, George is now unlikely to face dangerous driving charges. Weehawken Police department, the local police department investigating the incident, have said that “due to conflicting statements of driver and the lack of evidence to support either driver’s version, no moving violation summonses have been issued to either party at this time.” But “the incident remains under investigation.”
