It seems New York is truly the place to be at the moment. City resident Natalie Portman is always there but usually (voluntarily) hidden away from view - but she came out for a special screening of her new film Hotel Chevalier at the Apple Soho Store on Tuesday.
Temporary Big Apple residents Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt both spoke at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting in the city yesterday. Brad got the earlier time slot for his presentation on environmental issues so he could pick up son Maddox from school after he was done.
Kate Hudson also has a home in the city - and is there during a break in filming Bachelor No 2 in Boston.
While fellow Kate, Kate Moss in this case, is also in town for a brief stay.

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale was snapped shopping with her mum on Tuesday - and on Wednesday, showed off her new t-shirt, declaring she’s “un-hollywood”.
Her co-star Vanessa Hudgens meanwhile is “truly outrageous“. But we knew that already, didn’t we? Vanessa was snapped with boyfriend Zac Efron in the shirt yesterday afternoon.
Kirsten Dunst meanwhile played down the slogans and played up the flirting after being spotted with a mystery man at Joan’s on Third cafe in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.
While very pregnant Isla Fisher was spotted filling her car with petrol in Hollywood.
Finally, Lindsay Lohan was snapped fooling around for the cameras during a smoking break near her rehab clinic in Utah.
