Ben Affleck: my relationship with Jennifer Lopez damaged my career

I had the misfortune to watch Gigli last week - that film should have ENDED both of their careers, not just damaged them.

I watched it with some friends thinking it would be bad in a funny way (like Showgirls) but it was so bad in a hideously bad way that we couldn’t even make fun of it. We’d tried but the jokes would just die on the way out of our mouths so they didn’t have to be linked in any way to that horror. At one point, I actually felt physically sick and had to stand in the bathroom for ten minutes (admittedly I had eaten a large amount of sweets in a small amount of time). My friends thought I’d just gone to hide from the nightmare - the toilet putting in better acting that either Monsieur Affleck or Madame Lopez.

We watched Pretty Woman afterwards - random TV scheduling - and it looked like Oscar material in comparison.

I’ve watched a LOT of films over the years, including a LOT of really bad ones but I can safely say Gigli is the worst one I’ve ever seen. *shudders*
