Britney Spears is reportedly considering checked into rehab at the weekend with the hope that it will eventually result in her regaining custody of her children.

Sole custody of sons Sean and Jayden was given to their dad Kevin Federline on Monday after Los Angeles County Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ruled that Britney had not met previously stipulated criteria - including submitting to twice-weekly drugs and alcohol testing, and not consuming either substance for at least 12 hours before she took custody of the boys.

Now OK magazine is reporting that Britney will check into the Crossroads Centre in Antigua on Saturday in an attempt to get her life back on track. A friend of the star’s told the publication: “Britney’s team has been working closely with her attorneys to figure out a way to get the babies back from Kevin.”

“She’s surrendering herself to rehab for treatment of depression and alcohol so that there’s no questioning if she is drinking or missing any future tests.”

“She’s got to pull her life together or else she’ll lose the kids for good. She will do whatever her legal team and those closest to her think is best if it means she gets Sean and Jayden back. She’s getting the help she needs and everyone is hoping she goes through with it this time.”

Britney spent a day at the facility in February before her head-shaving breakdown.
