Spice Girls get “flying palace” private jets for tour
Forget a dainty Christian Louboutin stiletto, the carbon footprint of the forthcoming Spice Girls reunion tour will be a giant Sasquatch-sized boot now that the girl group have hired three Boeing 757 to ferry them and their crew between locations.
According the reports, the five women, plus their families, assistants and bodyguards, will fly in the “Spice Force One”, which will be painted with their tour artwork and completely renovated inside. When work on the aircraft is finished, it will include creche facilities for the seven Spice children, a fully equipped make-up parlour, a dining room, a business & media centre, luxury bathrooms and sleeping quarters.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Spice Force One will be a flying palace.”
“Along with the immediate entourage, the girls will have a team of chefs and nannies who will be on hand 24/7 to feed and look after all the VIPs on board.”
Two further planes, Spice Force Two and Three, will take their dancers, crew and other staff between the worldwide locations. The group are now scheduled to play 34 shows from December onwards, with half of them taking place in London.
