Britney Spears applies for bartending job

Britney Spears is still lining up back-up plans in case her comeback efforts are unsuccessful.

After previously applying for a cocktail waitress job, the star is said to have asked about being a bartender at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica last Thursday.

The star was enjoying the amenities of the luxury hotel when she commented to a member of bar staff that she would like to give bartending a go - and proceeded to fill in a job application to work in Cameo Bar.

But it doesn’t look likely that she’ll land the gig: when the New York Daily News called to check on the progress of Britney’s application, they were told “employees must have two to three years’ fine dining experience and pass a drug test, and she obviously wouldn’t qualify for either.”
