Kylie Minogue shouldn’t get music awards, says Ian Brown

Former Stone Roses star Ian Brown has criticised the decision to give Kylie Minogue the “Idol Award” at this year’s Q Awards.

Ian picked up his own “Legend Award” at Monday’s event but wasn’t happy that Kylie was also on the winner’s roster. He told the Mirror: “I don’t even know what Kylie’s doing at a music awards.”

“I don’t think she’s cute, I think she’s a little devil doll. She looks like a horse!”

“Her music’s rubbish. She’s a soap star making music for 10 year olds - that isn’t what music is.”

“I’m sorry if it sounds like I’m putting her down but there are a lot of great minds out there and she isn’t one of them. I love Kylie, I’m not knocking her - I just don’t think she should have got a music award.”

Kylie, who releases her tenth studio album ‘X’ next month, was given the award for her successful return to the music world after beating breast cancer last year.
