Kate HudsonKate Hudson has revealed that her son Ryder has started to realise what it means to have a famous mum.

Three year old Ryder has accompanied mum Kate to film sets from a young age but only now is it starting to occur to him what it’s all about.

Speaking at the Glamour Reel Moments event in West Hollywood on Tuesday, Kate told People magazine: “Every once in a while, he’ll go, ‘Oh my God, mommy, you’re on TV, you’re on TV!’”

“I don’t think he has any true understanding of [it yet but] I think he’s aware that it’s mommy’s job.”

“I watch my son when he goes on set, and [he] watches what we do. You can’t help but be interested in what everybody is doing.”

Kate went through a similar experience with her own mum, Goldie Hawn and step-dad Kurt Russell: “People ask me that, about my parents, growing up. I don’t ever remember a defining moment where I understood what my parents did. It was their job, like anybody.”
