It looks like Cheryl Cole’s many feuds with her pop contemporaries are slowly coming to an end.

Lily Allen, who exchanged a war of words with the Girls Aloud star via her blog and the media, said recently that her side of the bickering was caused by depression: “When I had my feuds with people [earlier in the year], I was in a very bad place.”

“I was depressed, bitter and sad and I let a lot of things get me down, but I’m very happy now and I haven’t a bad word to say about anyone.”

And Cheryl herself has said she hopes the birth of Charlotte Church’s baby daughter last month will calm tensions between the duo: “Hopefully she has grown up now, with having the kid, and might focus on that rather than trashing me all the time.”

But that’s not to say Cheryl has lost her bite: she’s just refocusing it. She told the Mirror recently that she “really, really hates” Rebecca Loos, the former assistant, and rumoured lover, of David Beckham.

Cheryl is particularly angered that Rebecca plans to follow the Beckhams to Los Angeles: “I couldn’t believe she’d try and do that. How dare she try and upset them!”

“Anyone who knows them can see how happy and in love they are. Victoria’s an incredible woman - a fashion icon, businesswoman and a great wife and mother. David just dotes on her. That Rebecca just wants to peddle lies and bulls***. I don’t know how she sleeps at night.”

“What is she famous for? She’s made a career from trying to destroy someone’s marriage. She’s the lowest of the low. And she just won’t go away. I was at a party recently and she turned up. I was so furious that I had to leave or I’d have had to say something to her. I didn’t want to embarrass the host so I just walked out. But it was hard to not give her a piece of my mind.”
