Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan reportedly isn’t just staying in Utah to stay away from the Los Angeles party scene - according to the News of the World, she’s staying with a friend in the state because she’s almost broke.

A source told the newspaper: “Lindsay doesn’t have much choice [where she lives] as she is totally broke. The only reason she’s coming back to LA, is to earn some money fast.”

“She still thinks nothing of blowing thousands of dollars on a single night of partying. And the amount she has wasted putting cocaine up her nose is disgusting. Even she has lost count.”

According to the newspaper, Lindsay has spent around $7million on her fashion addiction and partying lifestyle over the past few years and can no longer afford celebrity life in Los Angeles.

Last year, she spent around $1million at the Chateau Marmont hotel on renting one of their bungalows for a year, the inevitable room service and having hotel chauffeurs on standby around the clock - but after her long-term stay, was evicted for disturbing other guests and not paying bills on time. She then moved into her renovated-to-sell $3million apartment after she was unable to find a buyer for the property but might not be able to keep it, or her $1million apartment in New York, due to new financial constraints.

She is also said to have spent in excess of $1million on designer clothes and accessories - never seen in the same outfits or bikini twice - and around $100,000 on beauty treatments including tanning and hair care.

The source added that this year’s three stays in rehab have impacted her earning potential as well as costing $150,000 for the treatment itself: “Rehab does not come cheap and Lindsay has spent a fortune on it this year.”

“Her first two stays there sadly proved a complete waste of money for her. And I can’t see this time being any different.”
