Paris Hilton is reportedly vying for a role in the big screen version of Dallas.

The film was supposed to go into production earlier in the year - when Paris was busy with other things - but now that filming has been delayed until early next year, Paris wants to be included in the oil-rich Ewing family.

An inside source told OK magazine: “Paris is pretty eager to get into the film. She’s having her manager and even friends pull favors just to get her an audition.”

“In her mind she’s already part of American royalty by being a Hilton so she thinks it will be perfect casting. She’s actually surprised the producers haven’t thought of this themselves.”

Paris is said to have her heart set on the role of spoiled socialite Lucy Ewing but Katie Cassidy is said to have already been signed up for the part. Jennifer Lopez was attached to the project to play Sue Ellen, the wife of John Travolta’s JR Ewing, but dropped out after production stalled.
