• Mum Reese Witherspoon might have an Oscar but eight year old Ava doesn’t think she’s half as cool as Hannah Montana. Reese told The Tonight Show with Jay Leno recently: “My daughter’s 8 now so the coolest person in the world right now is Miley Cyrus - Hannah Montana!” Ava insists on watching the Disney Channel show whenever possible but has yet to twig that her mum and dad Ryan Phillippe move in the same entertainment circles as the young star: “She has no idea and I’m trying to keep it that way. I don’t want to get hounded for concert tickets!”
  • Ben Affleck ducked out of the Cinema Society screening of his directorial debut Gone Baby Gone in New York on Tuesday night to watch a baseball game. According to the New York Post, Ben slipped out of the cinema just before the film started to watch the Boston Red Sox lose against the Cleveland Indians but it wasn’t just about watching the game. He told the New York Daily News: “I just get nervous and think that every chair creak or cough, people hate it. And when someone says they thought the movie was good, [I think], you’re lying to me!”
