Spice Girls’ egos cause havoc at video shoot
Filming of the video to accompany the Spice Girls‘ comeback single is said to have ended in tears at the weekend, with the director threatening to walk out.
Victoria Beckham and Melanie Brown flew into the UK on Friday to film various promotional clips with London-based bandmates, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton.
According to the Sun, Geri held up filming throughout the day as she meditated and waited for runners to deliver a particular type of bottled water, while Victoria had an assistant follow her around carrying fruit and champagne.
The lack of rehearsals and time spent together as a group also prevented the day from going as smoothly as it should have done.
An on-set source told the newspaper filming went on until 3am: “Things were very delayed. The director was tearing his hair out and threatened to walk.”
“The girls were so tired and Emma was crying as the shoot just went on and on.”
“It’s just like before, only even bigger. That’s their egos I’m talking about, not their boobs.”
The single, one of the two new songs on their forthcoming Greatest Hits album, is released next month.
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
