Alicia Keys has says she cringes whenever she looks back at interviews or photos from earlier in her career because she wasn’t exactly perfectly preened.

The R&B star, who was instantly captulted to fame with the release of her best-selling album ‘Songs in A Minor’ in 2001, said recently: “I was definitely rough around the edges. I look back at certain interviews and I’m like, ‘Damn! Did I have to look that hard? Did I have to do my hair that way?’”

“I could see why people couldn’t see the diamond in the rough.”
