Today’s celebrity photos: costumes and kids special
- Halloween has started early in Hollywood. After weeks of celebrities picking out pumpkins with their kids, the costume parties started this weekend. Teri Hatcher attended the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation’s charity event in Santa Monica on Saturday looking like a really quite scary Queen of Hearts.
- While Paris Hilton, unsurprisingly, went for the “fancy dress is an excuse to dress like a slut” motif (if, indeed, she needs the excuse) for her PVC Alice in Wonderland-ish outfit for Saturday’s event at the Playboy mansion.
- Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal (aka Gyllenspoon) donned costumes of their own for Kate Hudson’s party over the weekend - and their masks helped them (kind of) dodge paparazzi photographers on the way out.
- While Britney Spears‘ cousin Alli Sims had no intention of going unnoticed when she stepped out - with friends, but not her famous cousin - to a party dressed as an American football player.
- Bridging the gap between costumes and kids, former supermodel Christy Turlington took her children Grace and Finn to a Halloween celebration in a park in Tribeca, New York on Saturday afternoon.
- While Violet Affleck didn’t get to wear anything special for her trip to Central Park on Sunday morning. The tot’s family is in the city while mum Jennifer Garner performs on Broadway - and graciously signs autographs for fans at the stage door.
- In LA, Thandie Newton took her daughters Ripley and Nico to the Studio City Farmer’s Market on Sunday afternoon.
- While Val Kilmer took his 12 year old son Jack to Starbucks on Melrose Avenue.
- And finally mum-to-be Nicole Richie had a surprise baby shower at Katsuya in Hollywood on Saturday with a selection of friends, including Lindsay Lohan’s former BFF Samantha Ronson, in attendance.
