Heather Mills plays Paul McCartney abuse confession tape

Heather Mills has reportedly played a tape to journalists of Paul McCartney admitting to hitting his late wife, Linda McCartney.

Heather is said to have played the audio recording in an off-camera moment during her various interviews on TV and radio yesterday and a witness in the room told the Mirror: “It was quite extraordinary. There were raised voices. Heather and Paul were shouting. Paul can be heard confessing he hit Linda ‘once or twice’.

“No one knew what to do. It was astonishing stuff and seemed to back up Heather’s claim that she’s the victim in all of this.”

Heather started out on GMTV yesterday, comparing her treatment in the media to that of paedophiles and admitted she had considered killing herself to protect her daughter with the former Beatle, Beatrice.

Heather also elaborated on the death threats she received earlier in the year, and added that “a box of evidence” including her diaries and the tapes “is going to a certain person if anything happens to me. So if you top me off, it’s going to that person.”

Later in the day, she went onto give similarly fraught interviews to This Morning as well as the BBC’s Radio Five Live, News 24 and Six O’Clock News, promoting suggestions that she is having a nervous breakdown.

Her publicist Phil Hall is said to have quit after she conducted the interviews against his advice. The former News of the World editor told the Sun: “My advice to her for the past 18 months has been, ‘keep your head down and let’s wait until the divorce is over, and then rebuild your career afterwards’ through the charity and foundations she works for.”

“That’s the way it was going. We’ve had very few conversations with newspapers as far as placing any stories are concerned apart from denying the more extreme stuff.”

A source close to Paul added Paul is more concerned for Heather at the moment than for his own reputation: “Like everyone else, he can’t quite believe what’s happened. Heather is clearly disturbed and in a highly agitated state. His major concern is for their daughter.”

Her whining and crocodile tears make me sick.

She has got up to some dodgy things in the past, lied about it consistently then moaned when the press picked up on her lies. She is desperate for fame and publicity and will do anything to stay in the public eye. She has courted publicity for 15 years - now she decides she hates the press! Too late - you live by the sword, you die by the sword. She wouldn’t have managed to land Paul McCartney if the press hadn’t made her famous - now she’s in line for a big payout from the divorce court. She should be thanking papers like the Sun, not attacking them.

There are hundreds of thousands of wealthy people in the UK who manage to remain totally anonymous…. why can’t she join them? Take Paul’s money, go away and never appear on TV or in a newspaper again. If I never saw that vile woman again it would be too soon.

And why cant she keep quiet about her charity work like other famous people do what does she want a medal. No-one is really interested in her it is just the fact that she makes a complete fool of herself at every opportunity that amazes people

Paul hit Heather once or twice? You should think that he would have strangled her with his bare hands. The gentleman must be a saint. As for spending 1,500,000 pounds Sterling on divorce legal fees… A person would only go to that finacial extreme if they were after a big money and power grab. The reports of her saying those things on GMTV were false. The GMTV show went over the accusations armed with a manuscript of what was actually said. She was totally mis quoted.

I have never been very interested in the mills mcartney saga but recently it is being rammed down everyones throat and all report of Heather being crazy and at fault. If on this one incidence she was proved innocent then how many others. And who would take the time and the money to pay for the media hate party against her? Someone with something to hide perhaps..
