• Melanie Brown has attributed her current run of Dancing with the Stars success to her husband Stephen Belafonte. Melanie, and dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy have been the top scorers for the last two heats of the show, racking up 29 for their Samba and a perfect 30 for their Rumba, and the Spice Girls star explained recently it’s because of the extra practise she gets with Stephen: “I make him stand there, and I dance around him. He’s [a] terrible [dancer]. But he’s a good stand-in - he’s good at standing there and staying still.”
  • Foo Fighters star Dave Grohl has arranged to have his own private bar area backstage at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Munich tonight - but he’s banned Pete Doherty from joining the party. Dave is quoted in the Mirror as saying: “I’ve heard he’s clean and I don’t want to lead him astray. I’m challenging everyone to a drinking contest and with Pete it might lead to another thing or two.” Pete is scheduled to perform at the show with his band, Babyshambles, and is rumoured to be planning a duet with Amy Winehouse too.
