Heather Mills: this is all because Paul McCartney didn’t protect me
Heather Mills has said she initially had no desire to challenge estranged husband Paul McCartney for money but feels that she’s been forced to do so now because he failed to protect her.
Speaking to Hello magazine recently, Heather claimed that Paul is more protective of his estimated £825million fortune: “This is a man that hangs on to his money. He wouldn’t be as rich if he didn’t. Who needs that kind of money?”
“When I left I said ‘I don’t want a penny’. I offered to Paul that if he protects me from the hatred I’ll receive because I am a wife of a Beatle, I’ll never say anything derogatory about him.”
But she feels that Paul has failed to protect her from the press and since he has not upheld his side of the arrangement, she wants to be able to speak freely about her experience: “I want the freedom to be able to tell my story should I need to defend myself.”
“He wants me gagged and they won’t give me a divorce until I’m gagged. If I wanted to speak before this I would have. He forced me into a corner.”

If she can afford a $6.4 million dollar home you would think she could afford her own security!!!! I understand Paul wanting to protect his daughter but he is NOT obligated to protect Heather. Heather, deal with it. Get on with your life, let the anger and jealousy leave your system, you’ll be better for it.

She always likes to have something to rant about.

I don’t like her - not even in the slightest. However, I’m starting to believe some of the things that she is saying. Paul says he is staying silent - BUT his friends are talking and it seems odd that this relatinoship comes out - just after Mills goes on a rant. Maybe he wanted to get back at her AND still appear to have “dignified silence”?
I think when they got together she knew the public did not like her and asked him to protect her if the marriage crumbled. I would assume he agreed (because they were in love, etc. - we’ve all been there and say stupid things) and now he isn’t stepping-up. Don’t get me wrong, she has not handled the situation well (she looks like a lunatic), but she probably did try to stay quiet, but while she did that he used her silence against her to make him look like the good guy.
Then she gets fed-up, incorrectly goes on a rant, he tries to get back at her by getting “caught” but keeping technically silent, etc. All seems so childish - and the child has to deal with this when she is old enough to figure it out! Not a heather fan and no longer a Paul fan either. Ok, all you Paul fans can now tear me apart :)

I would have to agree with Tina. He could have protected Bea and waited to let this out. Instead, it looks like he wanted to get back at his ex without looking bad to the rest of the world. I have never liked Heather (not even slightly), but I think she is up against something bigger than herself and feels betrayed because she never thought it would come to this. No one acts like that unless they are up against a wall and have been banging their head for quite sometime against it. I think his strategy is to push her to her edge so she will just settle. That is fine if both sides have a chance - but she does not seem to have one here. Her actions have not helped, but who knows “how” she got there, what lies she believed, promises that were not kept, etc.

Oh, put a lid on it already, Heather! It won’t win you any friends or sympathy. Someday your daughter will hate you for saying all those things about her dad.

Or…she will be smart enough to see that daddy was kissing a woman he was not married to before he was no longer married to mommy… Don’t let your emotions run this…look at it from the child’s perspective. I was a fan of Paul until this… Still not a fan of Heather’s though!

I read somewhere where it said Paul did provide protection for her but it was done secretly and privately.

I would bet dollars to donuts that it was written based on comments of one of the friends etc. So elusive - just the PR team at work trying to do damage control.
