Heather Mills has been dumped by the legal team representing her in her divorce from Paul McCartney after they reportedly objected to her recent spate of television interviews.

The team from Mishcon de Reya, led by Anthony Julius who represent Princess Diana in her divorce, had advised her not to speak about the ongoing divorce as it could have legal ramifications and a source told the Sun: “She was warned against going on TV and talking about Paul, their marriage and anything about her daughter. But she just refused to listen.”

“She was told time and again to keep quiet because she might hand Paul’s lawyers an easy victory. But she decided she knew better than the best divorce lawyers in the country.”

The team are also said to have been frustrated by her refusal to accept various offers put forward by Paul’s team. A source told the Mirror: “They felt it was the best offer Heather was going to get and advised her strongly to accept it but she thought she was entitled to more. She’s not a very easy person to deal with and has very strong opinions on the way things should be handled.”

During her run of interviews with UK and US news shows last week, Heather revealed she had run up around £1.5million worth of legal fees so far in the case.
