  • Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are said to be gutted after their offer on a property in a gated community was refused. The couple had hoped to buy the home in Southern California as a safe place to raise their first baby, due at the end of the year but existing residents have rejected the offer, worried about the couple bringing photographers and media attention to the area. A source told Us Weekly: “Nicole was livid because she loved the house. She thinks it’s a BS reason, but she couldn’t fight it.”
  • Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle has added more to her ideal man criteria: as well as being dark, mysterious and “a bit of a bad boy”, she wants him to take charge in the relationship. She’s quoted in the Irish Sun as saying recently: “I like men to wear the trousers. To tell me where we’re going. What we are doing. You know the kind of thing like, ‘Get dressed - we’re going here’.”
