Rod Stewart has said he can’t wait for wife Penny Lancaster’s time on Strictly Come Dancing to come to an end - because they want to start trying for their next child together.

Penny recently revealed that her busy rehearsal schedule for the celebrity dance show has left her too tired for sex and Rod can’t wait until the BBC show is finished.

He said recently: “We start serious sh***ing in two weeks’ time. It’s a mission like a military operation. One thing I do well is make great babies.”

“Penny is all set to rock and roll after all the exercise on the dancing show. I’m not wearing tight underpants and don’t have hot baths as I have to get the sperm count right up.”

The couple, who married in June this year, already have a two year old son Alastair together and Rod added: “She wants a girl [next] so she’s got one of each but I’m not fussed.”

But he reiterated that after seven children with five different women, his next child with Penny will be his last: “This one is the big finish. We’ve planned and discussed it. After this the office is closed forever and the doors bolted.”
