The Girls Aloud reality TV documentary will have to go ahead without Nadine Coyle after the singer backed out of the show last week.

The programme was supposed to follow each of the five members of the girl group as they participated in an activity of their dreams. Cheryl Cole has already filmed part of her section, which involved learning to street dance in a dangerous area of Los Angeles.

Nadine insists she isn’t “really into [doing] reality things or things that aren’t to promote Girls Aloud” but an inside source told the Mirror that Nadine was annoyed that she couldn’t fulfill her initial ambition to work with street children in Bolivia because “it didn’t sit with the programme”.

“It’s a real shame. The show doesn’t really work without all five.”

Last month, Nadine fuelled rumours that the band is set to split soon after she reportedly hired a US manager to prepare for her post-Girls Aloud life in Hollywood.
