Geri Halliwell & George Michael fall out over Spice Girls comeback
Geri Halliwell and George Michael’s friendship has reportedly come to an end after George failed to write a comeback single for the Spice Girls as agreed.
George was rumoured to have been approached about writing the track after the girl group announced their reunion over the summer and a source has now told the Sun: “George was more than happy to write a song. But Geri was frustrated how long he was taking to finish it.”
Eager to get on with recording the track, Geri “wrote ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)’ with Emma instead.”
“George was furious. He has been fed up with Geri’s ‘Me, me, me’ attitude.”
“She’s still really good mates with his boyfriend, Kenny Goss, who’s been acting as a go-between in their battle.”
‘Headlines’, which is the 2007 official Children in Need single, is currently at number 20 in the UK singles chart based on downloads alone.
