Pete Wentz has revealed that his girlfriend Ashlee Simpson is doing a good job looking after him and his broken foot.

The Fall Out Boy bassist broke his talus bone, which links the foot to the lower leg, after jumping off a “ten-foot stack” of speakers at a gig in New Orleans late last month and while it was completely his fault, Ashlee is still being a good sport at helping him out.

He explained recently: “When I’m being hard-headed and I don’t want to elevate it, she says, ‘No, put it on the pillow!”

“[And] when I try to get in the shower by myself and am going to end up falling on the hotel room floor, she’s good at stopping me.”

Pete added that doctors offered him the choice of wearing a “hard cast for three weeks [or] a rocker boot” foot brace for six weeks: “The rocker boot sounded really enticing. But I didn’t realize that it does not rock at all.”
