Jonathan Rhys MeyersThe Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested at Dublin airport yesterday after a drunken clash with airport staff.

Jonathan is said to have ranted at staff after he was told he was “unfit to travel” on the London-bound flight. Onlookers report that he verbally abused the staff member and repeatedly told them: “I will get on this flight, no matter what.”

He was then arrested and taken into custody. He was held by police overnight and is expected to appear in court today to be formally charged with two public order offences. He will then be expected to return to Ireland for a further hearing in December.

On his release, Jonathan explained his actions, saying: “I said the wrong thing to the wrong woman at the wrong time.”

Jonathan spent time in rehab earlier this year in an alcohol-abuse treatment programme.
