Nicola RobertsGirls Aloud star Nicola Roberts was reportedly left in tears after a fight with boyfriend Carl Davis, just minutes before the girl group were set to take the stage at G.A.Y. at the weekend.

A source told the Sun: “Carl was in a real rage. It was terrifying. He stormed into the dressing room and started screaming at Nicola. It’s like he’s jealous of her success.”

“He was suggesting she’d become too big for her boots, saying things like, ‘Why do you think you’re so good?’ He was pushing her towards the door to get her outside. The girls had to step in and stick up for Nicola.”

“They were all in their costumes getting ready for what was a massive performance for them.”

The argument isn’t the first time the couple of just over a year have fought in front of others: earlier in the year, they were seen pushing and shoving each other during a row in a Liverpool club and had an argument at an NME Awards after-party in March.

The source added: “They have a really stormy relationship. They are both pretty feisty characters and the relationship is very intense.”

“They can get physical and push and shove each other around. Their rows often revolve around her success and the attention she gets because she is in a band. She shouldn’t be ashamed of what she has achieved, she should be proud. Although Nicola can give as good as she gets, she doesn’t need this.”
