Melanie Brown is reportedly livid that Eddie Murphy has refused to see their daughter Angel Iris.

Lawyers for the former couple appeared in court in Los Angeles last week to start discussion on a support deal and visiting rights but Eddie is said to have told his legal team to refuse to submit an offer and that he had no interest in being involved in the seven month old baby’s life.

A source told the Sun: “Mel was furious. She had been planning to take Angel to the courthouse to meet her dad for the first time. But when she heard Eddie would only be sending along his lawyers she decided to do the same.”

“She expected at least some kind of an offer. Either to arrange maintenance payments for Angel, or at least to arrange seeing her. She is his own flesh and blood after all.”

“But Eddie is being totally selfish about the whole thing. To him it seems Angel is an inconvenience. It is so unfair on the little girl.”

Eddie initially denied paternity of the baby but he pledged to “do the right thing” after a DNA test earlier this year proved he was the father. The court case has now been adjourned for three months.
