  • While many celebrities promote the fact they’d rather go naked than wear fur, Natalie Portman has said she feels the same about wearing leather too. She told In Style magazine recently that her vegetarian principles extends to her wardrobe: “Every time I dress I know I’m not wearing leather, and that’s a great feeling.” But it’s not just about the animals, it’s about the environment too: “If we can find ways to love life and be joyful without being wasteful or destructive - that’s what’s important.”
  • Billie Piper has agreed to return for at least three episodes of the next series of Doctor Who. All three companions of David Tennant’s incarnation of the Time Lord will return for the series next year, starting with Catherine Tate’s Donna, then Freema Agyeman’s Martha then finishing with Billie’s Rose. The show will then take a break until 2010. A source explained: “David’s not likely to return after the break and Billie wants to help him go out with a bang.”
