While many families were still sleeping off their Thanksgiving dinner, Lindsay Lohan’s family reportedly spent Saturday together in a group therapy session.

An inside source told the New York Post: “Lindsay was home for the week to spend time with her family and the Lohan family [mum and dad Dina & Michael, and little sister Ali] sat down for a therapy session in Manhattan together.”

The source explained the session was both part of Lindsay’s ongoing outpatient rehabilitation programme and part of Dina & Michael’s divorce procedure: “They are all trying to work things out together, and they know they have a long way to go.”

The group session came a day after Lindsay, Dina and Ali indulged in a spot of retail therapy in SoHo, shopping at Armani Exchange and Intermix: “Lindsay and Ali were having so much fun shopping, and Lindsay was helping her little sister pick out clothes.” The supportive big sister then attended younger brother Dakota’s basketball game later in the afternoon.

But while “Lindsay is trying to fill her time with non-drinking and non-partying activities”, her boyfriend Riley Giles has other plans. Riley, who hooked up with Lindsay while the pair were in rehab in Utah over the summer, had flown to New York to meet Lindsay’s family but the source explained he was “not very well behaved”: “He was out every night without her, and I’m not sure how much longer that relationship is going to last.”

Lindsay returned to Los Angeles on Sunday.
