Amy Winehouse to sell house of bad memories
Amy Winehouse has decided to sell the London home she has shared with husband Blake Fielder-Civil to leave behind bad memories that happened there.
The property in north London was the scene of her drug overdose in August and also the location raided by police shortly before he was arrested and imprisoned last month. Since Blake was sent to jail, Amy has been staying with a friend in Bow, East London and has found a new property in the area.
A source told the Sun: “She has preferred being in the East End since Blake was arrested. The Camden house holds a lot of bad memories - it was the scene of her drug overdose and is full of reminders of Blake.”
“Now, with Blake in prison, she can hardly bring herself to walk through the door. So she’s bought a place in East London and plans to sell the Camden pad.”
“She thought she could live a quieter life and keep out of the spotlight a bit if she left Camden.”
In related news, Amy’s mother-in-law Georgette Civil has claimed Amy has only visited husband Blake twice since he was remanded to Pentonville prison almost a month ago.
Georgette told Closer magazine: “I’ve had to help Amy to visit. She had no idea she can’t just turn up too see Blake. What has she done to help him? Nothing.”
“She is using more cocaine and heroin. She needs professional help.”
Amy’s dad Mitch Winehouse had previously claimed that Georgette was using up all Blake’s allocated visiting slots preventing Amy for being about to see her husband of six months and a source close to the singer added that she is not spiralling further out of control: “She is getting better. Georgette has not seen her and has no idea.”
