  • Nicole Richie has been given a leave of absence from her court-mandated anti-drink-driving education programme until after she gives birth in the new year. Nicole has to attend the classes as part of her probation terms resulting from her DUI arrest last year but the director of the programme advised her to take the break for health reasons. Her spokesperson confirmed the decision but insists she’s not receiving any special treatment: “They offer that option to anyone with a medical condition of any kind.”
  • While Spice Girl fans are delighted with the girl group’s comeback shows, Melanie Brown’s husband Stephen Belafonte is reportedly less than impressed with his wife’s on-stage moves. During her solo rendition of Lenny Kravitz’ ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’ at the first show in Vancouver on Sunday, Mel picked a male audience member to join her in her rather provocative dance - which boiled Stephen’s blood. A source told the Mirror: “He had a face like thunder and walked out - and didn’t return for the rest of the show.”
