• Supermodel Iman may now be married to David Bowie but she recently revealed she’s not always been popular with the opposite sex. Speaking at a New York event last week, she explained: “When I had my prom [in Somalia], my father had to pay my own cousin to take me to it. He had to pay him a lot of money, at least a couple of hundred dollars. No one wanted to take me out. I was an ugly duckling compared to the other girls. The other girls were fatter than me. They like them round in my country!”

He said recently that his energetic stage shows leave him too zapped out to do anything else: “I’d love to wake up surrounded by beautiful women every morning but I’m not sure I’d have the stamina. Everyone thinks touring is great, but six months in you’re just desperate for home.”
