Victoria Beckham has revealed it was “completely love at first sight” when she met now-husband David Beckham.

The couple met at the height of the Spice Girls fame in 1997 and Victoria told the US edition of Elle magazine recently that she wrote her phone number down on the stub of an airline ticket: “He told me he went home and wrote the number on so many other things in case he lost it. We found the ticket the other day!”

Despite their fame, wealth and love of luxury items, she added that their early dating days were far from glamorous: “We drove around in his car and would sit in car parks and talk for hours and hours.”

“We didn’t need to go out for meals. We didn’t need to go out for drinks. We just wanted to be together.”

The couple celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary in July and have three sons together, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.
