Britney Spears’ little sister Jamie Lynn Spears pregnant at 16

Britney Spears‘ little sister Jamie Lynn Spears is reportedly pregnant at just 16 years of age.

It is not known how far along Jamie Lynn, a high school junior, is into the pregnancy but Britney and Jamie Lynn’s mum Lynne Spears is said to have confirmed the news to OK magazine after rumours began to circulate that the teen star was expecting a child.

Nickelodeon, the network which carries Jamie Lynn’s series Zoey 101, has also issued a statement about the issue, saying: “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

Jamie Lynn recently told the Associated Press that she didn’t have a serious boyfriend at the moment: “I have a bunch of friends that I always hang out with, a bunch of guy friends. I kind of just keep my options open.”

Last month Britney herself was rumoured to be pregnant but her friend Sam Lufti denied the claims, calling them “bullsh*t”.

Jamie is a very hot girl!!! Jamie is young but I think she will be fine because she has a lot of support. I think Jamie should try to keep the show Zoey 101 going.

WTF!!! She’s too young but whatever floats her boat. It doesn’t give blondes a good name. Was she asking for a baby? It doesn’t take much to use protection before sex. Another thing, isn’t this against her religion ?

jamie lynn is young and has her whole life left and now she has ruined it now but we all make mistakes and after everything with brit spears its a shames this has happened 2 her at such a young age but i know she will be a good mum with support from friends ,family and fans

dude… 16, and pregnant, not ok. what family is going to help her, obviously not britney. what her mom? and she doesnt even have a steady boyfriend, thats just wrong on so many different levels. she shood of at least finished school, its sooooo not OK…

i think jamie will make a great mum i dont think she was asking 4 this but it was a great desision to keep it i think although she is having a baby she should try to keep the show zoey 101 going because shes a brill actress and the show is mint. And its not that bad that shes 16 theres loads a people that have it under age the lowest av heard is 11
