Britney Spears might have been one of the last people to know about her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears‘ pregnancy: a source has told the New York Post that even Kevin Federline heard the news before Britney did.

A source told the newspaper: “Kevin knew before Britney that Jamie Lynn is pregnant. Britney’s mom Lynne told Kevin about it on Monday [before the news broke on Tuesday] because Lynne wanted Kevin to be prepared when Britney found out.”

The source added: “We’re waiting for the fallout from Britney. Kevin is sure Britney will flip out and blame her mom and dad.”

So far though Aunt Britney has reacted calmly, explaining her initial denial of the pregnancy was sarcastic and ordering a $500 gift basket to be sent to her little sister from baby boutique Petit Tresor.

An inside source told TMZ the basket included items for the unborn baby - including a blanket, stuffed toys and clothes - and a Tuni & G tank top with the words “Hot Mama 2 B” in sequins across the chest. According to the source, the note attached to the parcel read: “Dear JL, we love you! Brit, Sean and Jayden”.

The siblings own aunt Chanda McGovern though has said she hopes the gifts are the only thing Jamie Lynn takes from her big sister: “I hope Jamie Lynn does not take any kind of parenting tips from Britney. Britney needs to get her life sorted before she starts trying to help others.”
