• Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey has headed to Maine with his family for the festive season. He explained he takes his children from perma-sunny Los Angeles to snowy Harpswell Neck to celebrate: “I really like snow and it’s an old home. It was built in 1934 and we’ve had it for about 10 years. We got married there, and I want my children to have that tradition.”
  • Meanwhile Tyra Banks is going the other way. She said recently: “I’m a New Yorker now so I’m going to go home [to Los Angeles] with my mama for Christmas.”
  • Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is also travelling - over to Switzerland. She explained: “I’m going skiing. I just built a chalet in Klosters and I haven’t even seen it yet. My mother’s been fixing it up for a year so I’m going to go and visit.”
  • And Gail Porter and her daughter Honey are also heading for Christmas on the slopes: “We’re going skiing for the first time in Andorra. I’m taking Honey and it will be all Christmassy. I can’t ski, but it sounds good.” She added that she isn’t expecting Santa to find her over there but she doesn’t mind because her ideal Christmas present isn’t something he can offer: “A full night’s sleep and somebody to tidy the house. That would do me.”
  • Myleene Klass would probably like the full night’s sleep too - as well as preparing for four month old daughter Ava’s first Christmas, Myleene moved into her new home at the weekend: “Moving at Christmas - what’s that all about? But it’s Ava’s first Christmas so it’s going to be amazing with the grandparents.”
