Lindsay Lohan reportedly doesn’t have a new boyfriend after all - because she too busy hanging around with new best friend Courtenay Semel.

According to sources close to the I Know Who Killed Me star, the pair were inseparable at a housewarming party in Los Angeles last week and their behaviour prompted rumours that Courtenay may in fact be Lindsay’s new love interest.

A source told the New York Post: “Lindsay came with Courtenay to the party around midnight and they stayed for an hour. The girls held hands and were with each other the whole time.”

“Lindsay seemed really nervous. It was the first time she’s seen a lot of people from her past life and she seemed socially awkward - like she was sticking by Courtenay for support.”

The pair told fellow guests at the soiree that they are roommates and have been living together for around a month and the source added that the two are together all the time, including being spotted shopping together several times during the last few weeks: “Every time I see Lindsay, there’s Courtenay. They are always together.”

Lindsay’s spokesperson confirmed the friendship but denied rumours of a romance: “The two are good friends, nothing more.”

Lindsay was previously rumoured to have had a fling with friend Samantha Ronson after the two were reportedly spotted kissing in a Hollywood nightclub where Samantha was deejaying.

Socialite Courtenay is the daughter of Yahoo! CEO Terry Semel and appeared on the E! reality show Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive about a group of spoiled rich kids working on a Colorado ranch.
