Sugababe Amelle Berrabah’s boyfriend was rushed to hospital on Chritmas Eve after almost losing his arm in a machete attack outside a pub.

Amelle and boyfriend Freddie Fuller had been pub-hopping together around Aldershot, Hampshire during the evening before Freddie went off on his own and was attacked outside the town’s Queen Victoria pub around 11.30pm.

Onlookers report he was suffered stab wounds and cuts to the head and legs, and his left arm was “hanging by a thread”. He was rushed to Frimley Park Hospital and spent six hours in surgery.

A source told the Sun: “She’s desperately upset. Freddie’s arm was almost hacked clean off and he lost a hell of a lot of blood.”

“It was an horrific injury and the arm was hanging by a thread. If it hadn’t been for the speed of the paramedics he probably wouldn’t even be here now. It’s a miracle he survived.”

“Amelle was terrified that she was going to lose him. She has had a nightmare Christmas. She’s hardly slept and spent most of the time crying.”

A Hampshire Police source added that Freddie had been “virtually unable to defend himself” and they believe there may be “some history” between Freddie and his attacker. The case is under investigation and police are still searching for the weapon used, which they think may have been discarded in the town centre.
