Pete Doherty isn’t just helping out friend Amy Winehouse in her time of need - he’s reportedly helping out her husband Blake Fielder-Civil too.

Blake is currently on remand at Pentonville jail in London and since Pete spent time in the prison in 2006 as a result of drugs charges, he feels he can offer Blake support during his time inside - and offer him a view on the outside.

A source told the Sun that Pete and Blake are now exchanging letters regularly: “Blake feels very vulnerable. As well as threats he faces in jail, he fears Amy’s friends will use his time in prison to come between them and try to split them up.”

“He has asked Pete to look after Amy and fight his corner to make sure he doesn’t get shut out.”

“Pete has a soft spot for Blake, who has always idolised him, and has promised to do his best.”
