Britney Spears WILL sit for deposition in the new year or face a contempt of court challenge
Kevin Federline’s lawyer has confirmed that Britney Spears is set to give her deposition early in the new year - and if she misses this one, he’ll pursue her for contempt of court.
Mark Vincent Kaplan told People magazine over the weekend: “Britney Spears will have her deposition early this year. We’ve got a lot to talk about.”
Britney missed the previously scheduled session earlier this month, claiming acute anxiety but Kaplan was not convinced: “She was, in fact, out later that day and night. It’s not fourth grade where you get a doctor’s note and it’s all okay.”
“Kevin isn’t interested, nor am I, in punishing her. We just want to get information necessary to proceed further. I hoping remedies which include continuing hearings are all theoretical.”
He added that the two boys at the centre of the storm - two year old Sean and 16 month old Jayden - spent time over Christmas with both their mum and dad: “It was a good Christmas for all. They were great.”
“Kevin had all of his kids and it was a big, wonderful family setting. He was really happy, and the kids were happy.”
The next scheduled court hearing regarding the case will take place in February.
