• Paris Hilton probably isn’t too bothered that she’s not going to get a huge inheritance from her granddad - because she’s making enough money of her own. Earlier in the year it was rumoured that she and sister Nicky Hilton were asking for $500,000 to host a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas but the older socialite is said to have exceeded that this weekend. According to reports, she was paid around $1million for hosting three parties this weekend ahead of the big bash this evening.
  • It doesn’t look like Pete Doherty will be invited to join friend Amy Winehouse for her New Year’s holiday in the Caribbean - after he offered her and husband Blake Fielder-Civil support, she has reportedly complained about how the law has treated the two men differently. She’s quoted in the Mirror as telling a friend: “Why have they given Pete so many chances? It’s not fair that my Blake is locked away. I thought they would give him bail, just like they do with Pete.” Blake is currently on remand at Pentonville prison ahead of his trial-fixing case next year.
