Heath Ledger may have fathered a secret child when he was just 17, according to a report in an Australian newspaper.

The country’s Daily Telegraph is reporting that a woman is claiming she gave birth to a baby girl after a brief affair with the then-teenage actor. According to the newspaper, the woman, who was then 25, only found out she was pregnant after the relationship ended and never contacted Heath about the baby.

A family source told the newspaper: “She had the baby. Everyone lived under the assumption that she was the daughter of the mother’s boyfriend and that is how she has been brought up.”

The late actor’s uncle Hadyn Ledger added: “There is a very real possibility that Heath was the father.”

The woman refused to be identified but sources close to the family are worried that if the baby does turn out to be Heath’s, there may be a claim for part of his estate.

A further source added: “At the moment it looks like most of his estate will go to his daughter Matilda one way or another but this might throw a spanner in the works.”

Heath died of an accidental prescription overdose in January at the age of 28.

Sienna Miller is reportedly risking texter’s thumb to keep in touch with fiancé Rhys Ifans while she’s filming in Los Angeles.

The actress is currently in California working on her new movie, GI Joe and an on-set source told the Mirror: “Sienna is missing Rhys massively and they have stayed in constant contact.”

“She boasted that they sent each other 53 texts in the space of eight hours. Everyone’s been saying she must have had smoke coming out of her mobile.”

“We’ve also been telling her that if she doesn’t calm down she’ll end up with repetitive strain injury - and won’t ever be able to text him again!”

“Sienna’s started trying to use alternate hands to give her thumbs a bit of a break.”

Amy Winehouse may be keeping herself busy working on her new album but the subject matter of many of the songs is reportedly worrying some of her friends.

While ‘Back to Black’ was about her lost love, inside sources claim many of her new songs are about death and show her current state of depression.

A source told the Sun: “Her next album is darker than ever. She’s written quite a lot of [it] already.”

“It is very, very dark but she produces some of her best music when she’s in pain - and the past few months have been hell for her.”

Aside from trips to pick up supplies at her local shops and attempted visits to see husband Blake Fielder-Civil in HMP Pentonville, the source says Amy is barely leaving her home: “Amy’s got low self-esteem anyway but her skin has made her want to hide away from the rest of the world. And we have started noticing more and more cuts on her arms.”

“Her problems are pushing her over the edge and she’s turning into a depressed recluse. It’s not good for her to stay in so much.”

“People try to get her to leave the house and tell her not to worry about what people say. But she’d rather sit around her dingy flat all day writing about death.”

“She might have all this fame and wealth but she’s never been so down as she is now.”

Husband Blake is also reportedly threatening Amy with divorce again after she’s repeatedly missed visiting slots: “He’s having a hard time in jail because of who he’s married to and gets wound up because Amy keeps missing visits or gets turned away for being late.”

“There’s no excuse for her to miss visits. We think she does it on purpose sometimes because she doesn’t want to see him.”

“Amy’s real friends are hoping that he follows through with the threats to divorce her.”

Leona Lewis‘ current success is reportedly risking her long-term career because it’s stressing her out so much.

The X Factor winner recently topped the US charts - the first British solo female artist to do so in more than 20 years - but a source at her record label Song BMG told the Daily Mail recently that the stress of doing so well is causing her to repeatedly come down with tonsillitis.

The source explained: “The problem is that the whole thing is a vicious circle.”

“Leona gets stressed and nervous and that’s when her voice gives out. The fact that there is so much riding on the next few weeks only adds to her anxiety.”

“She gets very emotional about her throat trouble and has understandably become a bit obsessed about it.”

“To a large extent the issue has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Everyone is hoping she can get through this period without any more crises because it is so vital to everything she has worked for.”

The singer is now said to be planning surgery to solve the problem.

Britney Spears‘ dad is reportedly encouraging to turn her back on pop music and look to acting for her future career.

Jamie Spears, who has been appointed as a conservator of Britney until the end of July, is said to have been pleased by how well Britney’s recent stint on How I Met Your Mother went and a source told the New York Post: “Britney did a great job on How I Met Your Mother. She got the show its highest ratings yet, but more importantly for Jamie, he wants his daughter at a normal 9-to-5 job to keep her working and out of trouble.”

“A sitcom would do that. So he’s exploring several offers for Britney to have her own show.”

Britney is said to have been offered another cameo appearance on 30 Rock but is also working on dance routines for her new music video.
