Britney Spears‘ conservators will not be seeking an extension to the restraining order against her former “advisor”, Sam Lutfi - because it’s not needed.

The order, which forces Lutfi to stay at least 250 yards away from Britney & her family and also forbids him from make any other contact with her, has been extended twice since it was originally made in February but expires today.

According to OK magazine, Lutfi was set to challenge an extension to the order but sources close to Britney claim that a further extension isn’t necessary - because she doesn’t want anything more to do with him: “Britney’s come along way in the last six months and she sees what Sam was doing to her.

“She blames him for fuelling her troubles and particularly those with her children.

“She doesn’t want anything more to do with him and will make that clear if he contacts her.”

Britney’s lawyer Samuel Ingham added that an agreement had “in private” between the pair but warned: “If Mr Lutfi makes any future attempt to contact Britney, [she] has made clear she will take all appropriate legal action.”

Britney’s conservatorship order is also set to expire today but it is expected to be extended temporarily while overseeing Court Commissioner Reva Goetz gathers more medical and psychiatric evaluations about the star.

Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling have sparked rumours that they’ve got back together after a year’s break.

The couple met on the set of their 2004 film The Notebook but secretly split in May 2007, only revealing the news later in the year when Ryan said that Notebook fans were more upset by the split than he was.

However, rumours of a reconcilation started earlier this week after the former couple were spotted together after Ryan’s DJing set at Hollywood club Green Door.

An onlooker reports: “At first we thought Rachel was just there to support him as a friend but when he finished, they got very close and cosy then left together.”

Earlier in the year, Ryan was linked to Kirsten Dunst while Rachel has been largely single since their split, busy working on the movie adaptation of The Time Traveler’s Wife.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers has revealed that he’s been sober since his mum died last year.

The The Tudors star entered rehab in early 2007 to battle alcoholism but started drinking again when his mum Geraldine had a stroke in November, leading to his arrest for drunken behaviour at Dublin airport shortly before her death a few days later.

However, now he’s said he’s been dry since then: “I haven’t even thought about drinking since my mother passed away. Drinking is not the way forward for me at all.

“Since I was 27 I must have been drunk maybe a dozen-and-a-half times - but when I do, I’m like Bambi. I’m all over the place, hopeless, like a 16-year-old kid. People notice.

“Now drink doesn’t fit into where I want to go. I want to do something useful with my life. Drinking is not synonymous with that.

“To be honest, I just leave it alone and hope people will, too, but I don’t really care. The whole drinking thing with me has been blown out of all proportion anyway.”

Kevin Federline was reportedly surprised that he was awarded sole custody of his children with Britney Spears.

The former dancer initially challenged the singer for custody of the boys when their marriage ended in November 2006 but he is said to have been generally happy with their joint physical and legal custody arrangement - and it was only Britney’s out-of-control behaviour last year that caused the courts to reduce her access to sons Sean and Jayden.

Kevin has now been awarded full custody of the boys, who turn 3 and 2 respectively in September, after Britney’s legal team thought it would be a risk to let the case go to trial in light of her current conservatorship. But a source close to Kevin has said that it isn’t really want he wanted.

The source told Closer magazine: “Kevin loves his sons, but he didn’t aim for sole custody.

“He wanted to be a co-parent and didn’t expect Britney not to fight for custody.

“He never wanted full responsibility. He believes both parents should take an active role. It’s tough being a single parent, plus he already has another two children.”

In related news, Britney’s parenting skills have come under fire again after photos, believed to have been taken at her Studio City home earlier in the month, showed her smoking in front of older son Sean while he plays with the pack of cigarettes and her lighter.

A source said: “She’s watching him playing with them here but what happens in the future when she’s not around to watch? She didn’t even tell him off for playing with them, she just took them from him and lit another [to smoke].”

Miley Cyrus has revealed she might take a break from her acting and music career in a few years.

The Hannah Montana star, who released her second album ‘Breakout’ last week, explained recently: “I was online the other day looking at colleges.

“I want to go in London. I’d like to do fashion and then photography.”

Given she’s only 15, college is still a long while off but she’s making sure it’s not all work and no play before then: “I’m into just kind of chillin’.

“I’m into having just a good ol’ pool party or, like, [going to] the beach with a couple of friends. I don’t want to feel like I have to entertain the whole time.”

Amy Winehouse’s visit to hospital on Monday night may have been caused by a drink spiked with ecstasy, according to her dad Mitch Winehouse.

A source told the Mirror that Amy had been taking part in a drinking game on Monday evening: “Amy was downing neat rum as part of a card game and generally having a great time with her mates at her flat.

“But the problems started when she then took her medication - all 11 tablets - and all hell broke loose.

“She clutched her stomach and was in such agony that everyone genuinely feared the worst.”

Amy was rushed to University College Hospital hospital around 9pm and spent the night under observation before being released at 9:45am yesterday morning.

But a source told the Sun that Mitch is convinced it was more than a mix of alcohol with her prescription anti-drug medication that caused the problem: “Mitch is furious. He’s certain someone put an E in Amy’s drink - and he’s determined to get to the bottom of it.

“He is convinced that one of her hangers-on was responsible and he’s waiting for a toxicology report to show what caused her to fit.

“If his suspicions are proved right, he wants someone to be punished. He is seriously unhappy about Amy’s flat being a stop-over for randoms and wants an end to it.”

A spokesperson for the singer said yesterday that the star is “at home now and is having a rest”. Amy is set to perform at two festivals and a gig in Paris over the next month but is then expected to take a break from performing to concentrate working on her next album.
