Now that the young couple have welcomed their first child into the world, Jamie Lynn Spears is reportedly planning her wedding to fiance Casey Aldridge.

Jamie Lynn only gave birth to daughter Maddie last month but a source close to the family told OK magazine: “She’s already down to her pre-pregnancy weight. She has the cutest figure!”

The source claims that the couple will marry before the end of the year and are looking to hold the ceremony in the grounds of their new home in Liberty, Mississippi. Jamie Lynn bought the four bedroom, three-acre property - which is just 30 minutes drive from her family home in Kentwood, Louisiana - in the spring and is settling into family life there: “She loves everything about the area where she lives. She’s not going to get married at some luxury resort in the Caribbean or a hotel in Beverly Hills,.

“Her own backyard with just the people who matter most is more Jamie Lynn’s style.”

The source added that Jamie Lynn’s big sister Britney Spears will be the maid of honour at the event and daughter Maddie will also be included in the event, carried in a flower-decorated basket by one of her grandmothers.

Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong have reportedly broken up after three months together.

The couple met through Kate’s ex-boyfriend Owen Wilson and began dating in early May after Kate split from Owen for the second time in a year.

A source close to the pair though has said that after three months, they’ve decided to call it a day: “There was no drama or ugliness - they just decided to end things.

“There is no hatred, just sadness.”

A second source told the New York Post that their busy work schedules, frequently requiring them to be on opposite sides of the US, doomed the relationship: “they travelled around together a lot but they both decided it wasn’t feasible in the long term.”

I remember watching Spaced the first time it was on TV in the UK in 1999 so it feels really weird to see Simon Pegg on Letterman now - like I imagine it feels to see a school friend picking up an Oscar or something.

Anyway, he was on the show to talk about the US DVD release of the two series of Spaced but mostly talks about self-love, dog-love and Star Trek-love.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have reportedly not been bothered by the recent claims that Matthew had an affair earlier in the year.

Reports began circulating last week that the The Producers star cheated on Sarah with an unnamed 25 year old youth worker while Sarah was busy working on the big-screen adaptation of Sex and the City.

But a friend of the couple’s told OK that the rumours haven’t damaged their 11 year marriage: “[they] have never had a conventional marriage, but it totally works for the two of them.

“Sure they fight like every other couple, but they love each other and their little boy [five year old son James Wilkie].

“They are so private and hate all this silly gossip. At the end of the day the only opinion Sarah cares about is Matthew’s and vice versa.”

The pair were spotted taking a walk along a beach in the Hamptons this weekend and an onlooker reported: “They looked very happy and in love. They looked totally normal, like nothing was going on.”

Shia LaBeouf has been cleared of blame in his car crash at the weekend.

The Indiana Jones star’s car was flipped onto its roof after it was hit during a left-hand turn in West Hollywood in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police at the scene noted that Shia was showed “obvious signs of intoxication from the smell of alcohol coming from his breath” and he was cited with a misdemeanour level DUI, pending results of a toxicology test.

However, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said yesterday that while he still may be charged over the drink-driving, he wasn’t responsible for the crash: “LaBoeuf has been determined at this stage not to have caused the accident. We have strong evidence that the other driver ran a red light.

“They will now be listed as Party One on the report, indicating they were at fault.”

Shia underwent “extensive surgery” on his left hand after the incident and was also treated for minor injuries to his knee and head. The other driver and Shia’s passenger, his Transformers co-star Isabel Lucas were also treated for minor injuries.

Gillian Anderson has revealed she has discovered what makes former US President Bill Clinton so charismatic - eye contact.

Speaking on the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday, the X-Files star explained that she met him a few years ago at a red carpet event: “We all, mostly women, lined up. And when he gets to you, he takes your hand and makes eye contact.

“After he leaves and he moves on to the next person, he looks back at you and seals the deal.

“When I got home, I expected to have a message from him, and I didn’t. I bet women across America expect it too.”
