Pete Wentz has hinted that his wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is desperate to give birth.

Speaking on On Air with Ryan Seacrest yesterday, Pete explained that Ashlee is currently “very pregnant”: “I am on call permanently right now. She’s at the very end, and it could happen at any point.

“She [feels] hot all the time. I think she wants to just be not pregnant any more. … It’s a struggle to go up and down the stairs. Going out in public is insane.”

He added that the couple have yet to choose a name for the child: “I want to meet them first.

“My brother was almost a Duncan, and he’s Andrew now. I think it might have ruined his life more if he was a Duncan.”

Plus, he wants the name to be versatile: “My friend said it - you’ve gotta have a baby with a name that could be a rock star or a senator, so [the baby]’ll get work either way.”

The couple announced Ashlee’s pregnancy in May shortly after their marriage. The baby is a first for both of them.

Lindsay Lohan made a “surprise” appearance at FEARnet’s 2nd Anniversary Party in the Cellar Bar at the Bryant Park Hotel in New York City. It wasn’t really that surprising that she showed up though because girlfriend Samantha Ronson was DJing at the event…

Is it just me or is Lindsay looking pretty thin these days? I can’t decide whether it’s just the sleekier hair and the lack of (excessive) fake tan, or whether she’s actually slimmed down though. Your thoughts?

Nicole Kidman has said she still feels “raw and emotional” nearly four months after giving birth to daughter Sunday.

Nicole and husband Keith Urban welcomed their baby girl into the world at the start of July but Nicole told Parade magazine recently: “I cry even thinking of her, but they are tears of joy. I’m raw and emotional.

“I never thought I would get to [give birth]. To have been given it so late in life I’m so ready for it.

“And I think giving birth to a child, as a woman, is what we’re born to do. I don’t mean that to sound sexist, because many women don’t get to do it, and I thought I was one of them.

“If you are given that gift, it’s an extraordinary thing.”

But she added that she does worry about being an older mum: “It’s very bittersweet. Because, at 41, I think, ‘I want to see her 21st birthday, and I want to see her get married.’ My relationship with death used to be far more ambivalent, I think, and now it’s very much about staying in the world.

“That’s why in the past I could jump out of planes and take a lot of risks. Strangely enough, I think when you have children at 25, you still have that ‘what will be, will be’ attitude. It’s such a different way of parenting.”

Nicole also has two older children, fifteen year old daughter Isabella and thirteen year old Connor, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron were in Mexico City yesterday, attending a press conference (first row of pics) and the premiere (second row of pics) for their huge hit film High School Musical 3.

The film earned $42million at the US box office over its opening weekend last weekend and earned £13million in the UK in its first week.

Madonna reportedly had a secret meeting with much rumoured fling Alex Rodriguez last week.

Rumours of a fling began to circulate in July after the baseball star was said to have made a number of “late night visits” to Madonna’s New York home. Immediately afterwards, his wife Cynthia filed for divorce citing infidelity but Madonna vigorously denied the rumours that she was sexually involved with him.

The pair are believed to have been in frequent contact since Madonna announced her separation from Guy Ritchie earlier in the month but had been unable to meet because of the huge media attention surrounding the split and Madonna’s tour commitments.

However, according to the Sun, the couple finally met up at comic Jerry Seinfeld’s mansion in the Hamptons, just outside New York last week.

A source told the newspaper: “A-Rod arrived at the airport by helicopter and was whisked away in one of Seinfeld’s Porsches.

“Madonna arrived less than an hour later by helicopter and left with Seinfeld in another car.

“It is believed they all went to Seinfeld’s mansion for a discreet party for a few hours, before they all left separately.”

Jessica Biel has revealed she regrets going topless for a photo shoot early in her career.

The I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry star agreed to strip for a magazine shoot in 2000 when she was 18, to help shed the “goody-goody” image she’d acquired while on the US television series 7th Heaven. The show’s producers disapproved of her decision and her role on the show was severely cut back, from a full cast member to a guest star.

Jessica has now said: “It was supposed to show me being sexier and more mature.

“The idea was: ‘Look at me - I am a woman, growing up.’ I had male managers at the time, who were really excited about the photo shoot.

“The truth is, though, I was in way over my head.

“I remember calling my dad and saying: ‘I screwed up. I went too far and did not stand up for myself.’”
