After a few weeks in London filming the British version of her reality show My New BFF, Paris Hilton returned to Los Angeles yesterday.
The socialite didn’t even attempt to blend into the background in a fire engine red tracksuit and, in case we’d forgotten she’s loved up, she wore a big “B” (for Benji Madden) pendant around her neck in a matching hue.

Jennifer Hudson has set up a new foundation to help the families of murder victims less than a week after her mother, brother and nephew were all shot.
Jennifer’s mum Darnell and brother Jason were found dead at their home in Chicago last Friday afternoon and the body of seven year old Julian King was found in an abandoned car on Monday morning.
A private memorial service for the three victims is scheduled to take place in the city on Monday but a statement released yesterday explained that Jennifer wanted to make a more lasting mark in their memory so established the Hudson-King Foundation for Families of Slain Victims.
The statement explained: “The specific purpose of the Foundation is to care for the needs of families who have lost relatives to a violent crime. This encompasses their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter as well as grief counseling.”
Jennifer’s estranged brother-in-law William Balfour is currently being held as a “person of interest” in relation to the shootings but has yet to be officially named as a suspect.
Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon held an exclusive Halloween Eve costume party in New York last night to celebrate their six-month anniversary.
The pair both dressed as fire-fighters but I don’t think Mariah’s outfit is standard issue. They also arrived at the Marquee nightclub on the back of a fire engine with an escort from the New York Fire Department.

Russell Brand is reportedly planning to escape to Los Angeles as soon as possible, after quitting his BBC Radio 2 job in disgrace this week.

In a pre-recorded section of a show broadcast at the weekend, the two men crank-called former Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs and left messages on his answering machine about Russell sleeping with his granddaughter Georgina. In the subsequent furore, which dragged in the BBC Trust directors and the Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Russell quit and Jonathan has been suspended for 12 weeks.
Now a source close to the comedian has told the Sun that Russell is racing to complete filming the Christmas special of his Channel 4 show Ponderland: “Russell rushed along the filming so he could get to LA as soon as possible.
“He just wants to get on the next plane out of England - and get away from this mess.”
